Data Architect - All Levels
Description: The Government is looking for a creative resource who is able to see the big picture and will influence integrated information technology systems from conception to implementation. The candidates specific area of focus will be data architecture. The successful candidate will ensure that the database architecture design patterns are translated into integrated system designs and implementation guidelines. Working under minimal supervision, the selected candidate will architect solutions that support requirements of varying complexity in addition to planning and managing the coordinated effort of a team of different stakeholders, information technology, and related technical professionals, to include personnel with different organizations with competing interests (e.g., customer, hosting, development, networks, and operations). The candidate will help the staff lead ensure systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture. In conducting compliance oversight, the selected candidate will review all proposed database changes (tables, indices, stored procedures, triggers, etc.) and provide guidance on how to conform to the programs database standards. This resource will be a member of the Systems Engineering Team, which is a high-functioning group that provides technical leadership and DevOps support to the program. The selected candidate will Develop, configure, test, and deploy updated system software, including software platforms such as application containers. Deliver software changes to production iteratively, in a repeatable way. Improve the system and software architecture to be cloud-ready, scalable, and fault tolerant. Evaluate and prototype integration of new software platforms, components, and libraries. Provide technical thought leadership and coaching to the development team. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues. Deliver new and extend existing system capabilities. Participate in daily SCRUM meetings.
1.Demonstrated experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
2.Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and translating those requirements into data models.
3.Demonstrated experience working on large, complex databases with more than 100 tables.
4.Demonstrated experience building and updating Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD).
5.Demonstrated experience with the use of SqlDeveloper, TOAD or other similar product.
6.Demonstrated experience using PL/SQL.
1.Demonstrated experience working within a security enclave.
2.Demonstrated experience with Erwin.
3.Demonstrated experience or education with NOSQL data bases.
